Womb Care “Sobada Maya”
The Mayan Massage, or “Sobada Maya,” is a traditional technique originating from the Maya culture of Mexico, used for women’s reproductive and overall health care. This ancestral practice focuses on toning and enhancing the function of the intestines, the peritoneum, the uterus and reproductive organs, restoring their position and improving their function, by promoting blood and lymphatic circulation, reducing inflammation and pain, relieving symptoms related to various gynaecological disorders and promoting hormonal balance.
This therapy considers not only physical factors such as deep gut massage, relaxation of the pelvic muscles and strengthening of the uterus, but also the energetic, emotional, and mental aspects that are part of the childbirth experience and recovery and maintaining overall women's health in all of their life phases.

This ancient therapy holistically addresses the centre of feminine power, the womb and the pelvic area, which is why it helps restore female health in general. In the following information, I focus on Endometriosis, Fertility, Pregnancy, and Postpartum support, since these are why women seek me out frequently, but actually, this ancient wisdom is a sanctuary of healing for any woman.
Rebozo Rebirth Rite
Ancestral Closing of the Bones for Postpartum Care, Grief, and Major Life Transitions
Erika’s training will equip you to hold these ceremonies.
A deeply restorative ancestral rite of closure, integration, nervous system regulation, and renewal for postpartum, loss, and the great thresholds of life. The Rebozo Rebirth Rite is a traditional ceremonial practice rooted in Mexican midwifery and ancestral women’s wisdom.
Although best known as a Closing of the Bones Ceremony after childbirth, this rite has traditionally been used to support women through many of life’s thresholds: pregnancy, postpartum, miscarriage, fertility journeys, menopause, grief, divorce, illness, loss, and profound personal transformation.
“Womb Care is the most important thing about this Rite, since the Womb is the Feminine Spiritual Centre.”
15% off ends in July!
Rebozo Rebirth Rite is only available to those who first take the “Sobada Maya”.
Sobada Maya is a very important part of Closing of the bones, and a part that is so often missed.
To teach Closing of the Bones according to the ancestral wisdom that has ben passed down to Maeioum, she would need to teach Sobada Maya first. It is an integral part of the Closing Ritual.
It is her job to respect tradition but more importantly, respect the healing process of women. With Sobada Maya this ceremony is complete, more effective and integral.
At these moments, women often experience not only physical changes, but emotional, energetic and spiritual transitions that deserve to be witnessed and honoured.
This ritual creates a safe and sacred space where the body can relax deeply, the nervous system can settle, emotions can be integrated, and a new chapter can consciously begin.
Participants will learn traditional Rebozo bodywork techniques, ceremonial protocols, postpartum closing rituals, womb-centred support practices, and trauma-informed approaches to accompanying women through transformation.
